Rolex presents two new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona whose dials contrast white and black natural mother-of-pearl and a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds. These reinterpretations achieve the perfect balance of precision and preciousness.
Among the versions of the new-generation Cosmograph Daytona presented, the one fashioned in 950 platinum, recognizable by its ice blue dial, is equipped with a monobloc Cerachrom bezel in chestnut brown ceramic. The new 18 ct white gold Cosmograph Daytona features a monobloc Cerachrom bezel in black ceramic with a tachymetric scale. The moulded, recessed graduations, numerals and inscriptions are coated with platinum via PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition).
The most noticeable difference between the two models is the addition of the black ceramic “Cerachrom” bezel. This new and improved fixed bezel is highly scratch-resistant, excellently resists corrosion and impervious to the color fading effects of UV rays.The Cosmograph Daytona is driven by calibre 4131, a chronograph movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Released in 2023, it was introduced on the model the same year and exclusively equips this watch. It incorporates a chronograph function with a reduced number of components, thereby also enhancing the movement’s reliability.Both watches are crafted in 18 ct white gold and crowned with a bezel set with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds. The first version, fitted on an Oysterflex bracelet, features a dial in white mother-of-pearl with chronograph counters in black mother-of-pearl. It uses a new monobloc Cerachrom bezel in black ceramic with an updated tahcymeter design, shedding the older engraved metal bezel. It’s still got the calibre 4130 movement, but is now tested by Rolex to +2/-2 seconds per day accuracy, which is super impressive for a mass produced chronograph.
