My DJ41 has been sent out twice since I purchased it from an AD 2 years ago. My issue was related to a sudden and unexpected change in precision due to extreme variance among the many positions. Is it dependable or prone to shock abuse problems? We all know the answer to that question. In the end, I didn't see anything that screamed out why the 2892 is better.it seems this is just another example of personal preference. There are no restrictions on the Rolex 3135 movement. "date-setting is not recommended between 8pm and 2am." To avoid this, you pull the crown out and advance the movement (hands) forward to a "safe" position, then set the date, then move the hands back to the correct time..
Rolex had absolutely no problem selling wristwatches containing the 3135 movement. They kept the damn movement for thirty years, after all, and no one complained about it being ‘old’ or ‘outdated’ or problematic in any way.
The problem is that I know the 3235 is better power reserve of 70 vs 40h of 3135, but is the 3235 better than 3135 in any other circumstance ? And most importantly, does the 3235 as robust and long-lasting like the legendary 3135 ? Does it . I heard that Rolex was having some issues with this movement.
