I think 36mm - 40mm is the sweet spot for any size wrist. I have a 7 1/2 inch wrist. My SS 36mm Datejust, and 40mm SS Submariner wear perfectly. You can handle both judging from the pics, but with a slightly larger (6.8) wrist, I strongly prefer the tighter, more compact fit of the 36 Reply ozzysince1901 • My own personal opinion, but a Datejust should not look too large on the wrist. For most 6.5" wrists, 36mm would be the optimal size and give the most classic look. If you want "wrist presence", I find professional models better suited as they tend to still look fine when on the slightly bigger side.For me, the Ceramic GMT is the best fit of the modern Rolex you mentioned, and I have chosen not to replace my explorer ii, yet. Compared to the submariner you have, the Ceramic GMT fits my wrist better.
