I'm hoping to get a 36mm OP with steel dial this year (chances aren't great, but I can dream), so I totally get the appeal of the watch. I have a pretty big wrist and a 36mm, I notice it feels a lot smaller after wearing a watch like a yacht master, but after a couple hours of wear it looks and feels like a great size.
I initially dismissed the idea of a 36mm watch until I was at the AD trying on a few watches. I had my eye on the Tudor Black Bay 41 but didn’t like the sizing on my 6.75 inch wrist. After trying on the 36mm version and loving it, my sales . While a more classic diameter at 36mm, it still has an impressive weight on the wrist – the precious metal-like heft that Rolex provides in their steel watches.
